Responsibilities of Authors

·         Authors must ensure that submitted work is original, accurately presented, and free of plagiarism.

·         All authors must have significantly contributed to the work and agree to its submission.

·         Authors must clearly disclose conflicts of interest and acknowledge funding sources.

·         Research involving humans or animals must have received appropriate ethical approvals.

Responsibilities of Editors

·         Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, regardless of race, gender, religion, or institutional affiliation.

·         Editors ensure a confidential, fair, and unbiased peer-review process.

·         Editors will take appropriate steps if ethical complaints or plagiarism are reported, including corrections or retractions where necessary.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

·         Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents.

·         They must offer objective and constructive feedback within the assigned timeline.

·         Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline reviews where bias may exist.

Plagiarism and Misconduct

·         JPSCS uses plagiarism detection tools and takes academic misconduct seriously.

·         Submissions found to involve plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or other unethical practices will be rejected or retracted.

Corrections, Retractions, and Appeals

·         The journal follows COPE guidelines for handling:

·         - Corrections of honest errors

·         - Retractions in cases of serious ethical breaches

·         - Appeals by authors regarding editorial decisions

·         Although not a formal member of COPE, JPSCS voluntarily adheres to its Core Practices and regularly refers to its guidance documents to maintain the highest ethical standards.
